A Berom elder Hon. Jock Alamba, has called on his fellow berom brother, Senator GNS Pwajok, the People’s Democratic Guber candidate
to withdraw from the Plateau Guber race because it is the turn of the south to produce the next governor and to avoid humiliation during the forthcoming April 11th poll.
“GNS Pwajok shall do to himself, his party and the good people of Plateau a greater good if he would accept defeat and withdraw from the race for the governorship of Plateau state even before the election.” That was the call of Jock ALAMBA a Berom in Plateau state to his fellow Beromite who is contesting from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Jock Alamba who has served at various organs of government both state and federal, stated this while addressing Journalists in Jos said that who is who in Plateau state has join the Plateau Project and are all oncourse to salvage the state from various ills that has bedeviled it in the past few years. And that it will be a sad notation in history if GNS is left out just because he has been caught up in the wrong side of the divide.
When pressed further to give his reasons for calling for the withdrawal of the GNS Pwajok he said
“ I want GNS to withdraw from the race to be governor of Plateau state, because what is going on in Plateau state to day is no longer an APC project, it is a Plateau project. If you look at the terrain and the recent trend in the polity you will see that all the who is who in the politics of Plateau state has come on board. The struggle to salvage plateau and bring in the past glory requires all hands on deck and as such every body has come on board to realize that goal. GNS should not be left behind. And I think there is no need pursuing a lost course. Because politics is all about people and all the people have taken a stand to follow the APC candidate, Barrister Simon Lalong, so why allow yourself to be left behind. “
While congratulating the president elect, General Mohammedu Buhari and his team, he extolled the courage of President Jonathan for conceding defeat at an appropriate time and also called on Plateau PDP and its guber candidate to tow the path of its leader by letting the the Plateau project be.
“our now opposition party, the PDP, I salute your courage in accepting defeat in good faith. Jonathan conceding defeat shall have a place in history. In line with the afore expressed I challenge the candidate of the PDP on the Plateau , Senator GNS Pwajok to take a cue behind his superiors and demonstrate same as its no longer a news that his defeat come Saturday 11th April, 2015 has long overstayed its welcome. “
He used the occasion to call on all well meaning Plateau citizens to come out en mass to vote the Plateau APC Candidate, Barrister Simon Lalong
